Sue Koh – Ladies swimming coach

Learn to swim with Sue Koh!

Want to learn to swim but never knew where to start or who to ask? You have found the right place! I specialise in teaching ladies of all ages in the comfort of your own condominium pools. You will start with the basics like blowing bubbles, trekking water, floating, to finally swimming by yourself across lengths of the pool. Swimming will open up a new world for you. It’s fun, good for your body, and most of all, you will discover a sense of freedom you never before experience.

SueAbout Me I am an STA certified swimming coach who is also an energetic Singaporean lady. I love exercise, food and friends. I can speak in most languages (English, Mandarin, Teo Chew, Cantonese, Hokkien, and a bit of Malay). I have been swimming for the last 45 years and I just love it so much,  I want to share this wonderful skill with everyone who wants to learn. To date, I have taught two hundred over students to overcome their fears and learn to swim. My students tell me that I am a patient, gentle, yet very detailed and efficient teacher. And I provide personal feedback and advice according to all swimming levels and capabilities. But best of all, a class with me is a time for big laughs and to de-stress your mind and body. Swimming Therapy for Back Pain Sufferers **NEW LAUNCH** This course is for people who are interested in getting relief from back pain. To prevent back pain, it is crucial that you use proper form and techniques. In the Courses itself we will learn:

  • Proper technique on breathing with correct alignment.
  • Core activation and maintenance , getting to streamline
  • Proper rotation of body roll, immersion free style and limitation of body stretch.
  • Drills and using of Props , pull boys and kick board
Swimming can be very helpful exercise for back pain sufferers and a great way to get active as it does not put excess strain on a swimmers back. Water provides a unique environment to accomplish this feats. Its also takes a load off your joints which in turn can eliminate the pain that your body moves against the resistance of gravity.
Back Pain therapy course fees
$600 for 6 lessons (1hr each) – For basic swimmers (if you already know basic swimming)
$960 for 8 lessons (1hr each) – For non-swimmers

If you are already my student, I would love to hear how you feel about my classes. Here, I would like to share with you just some main benefits of swimming. These are the reasons why I do it, why I love it and why you should to! 🙂 Benefits of swimming Discover the healing, energizing, life-giving benefits of swimming Body

  • Total body workout – Works almost all the muscles in the body. From your arms, back, shoulders, abs, hips and legs. Tones all your muscles.
  • Increases stamina, great for lungs and cardiovascular system – results in reduction of blood pressure, risk of heart disease.
  • No gravity in the water means very little joint strain and your body gets a complete stretch each time you complete a stroke.  You might even grow taller!
  • Recover from your old injuries like frozen shoulder, stiff neck, and lower back pain. The weightlessness and no impact activity of swimming releases all the tension and scar tissues stored in these common stiff and achy areas of the body.
  • Lose weight! – Feeling pudgy and not your optimal lean, energetic self lately? Don’t lay around thinking about exercising, swimming is great cardio workout without the sweatiness.

Mind

  • De-stressing and relaxation – Being in the momentum of swimming laps allows the mind to rest and the repetitive strokes as you surge through the beautiful blue water is both calming and meditative.
  • Feeling of freedom and lightness – In a weightless environment, you will feel a sense of freedom that cannot be replicated elsewhere on earth. (Maybe only in outer space)

Life

  • Beach holidays won’t be the same again. You can swim in all the resort pools you visit. You can jump off the boat and snorkel with your friends  and experience the wonders of underwater life.
  • Conquer the fear of water. Or rather, the fear of not being able to stay afloat in water! This isn’t just about being able to save yourself when your ship capsize, but its about building confidence and doing something in life that you never thought you could. With every boundary crossed, more freedom enters your life.
